Ronda E.

Salt Lake City, UT
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

When I was twelve years old, and I learned that my mother’s death could have been prevented, I knew I wanted to become a nurse. Even though death is inevitable, I was inspired to help prevent such tragedies when possible. While in nursing school, during my Pediatric rotation, I found my niche and have stayed in that specialty since graduating with my initial associate RN degree through to my Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

Each day is challenging, rewarding and different, because each child and parent is also challenging, rewarding and different. Even though the symptoms can be similar, when you recognize that they are unique to each patient, you can personalize your care to treat not just the symptoms but the individual!

My career choice has provided me with an opportunity to provide service. As a nurse practitioner I have been able to serve diverse populations in three different countries and here at home, including being the primary health care provider for many refugee patients in my private practice.
